ENGLISH CHAIN DIRECT
English Chain Direct is an internet trading division of the English Chain Company Ltd. The original business was formed in 1923 and has grown out of all recognition from its early beginnings over 90 years ago in London. They have continually expanded their range of chains and associated products to meet the needs of their extensive customer base and for many years have been leading Chain Suppliers to many markets – from the domestic hardware, DIY, lighting, plumbing and construction industries to government departments, public authorities, general engineering, materials handling, marine and security applications to name a few.
English Chain approached Blended Digital to develop an e-commerce website which is now known as as English Chain Direct, a site that would sell to an existing and new customer base across the UK. The existing English Chain logo was taken as the base idea and then refined to create the new trading style logo used today.
We worked with English Chain on defining the initial launch range of products from the 1000's they sold through traditional methods. Launching with a wide selection, allowed them to understand what would sell online and the range has continued to expand since launch.
Having an understanding of the product lines, and the key areas that English Chain wished to focus on along with an understanding of their clients a design was developed that was clean, and easy to use.
Since launch some ad-hoc SEO work and PPC has been conducted to support the organic results they achieve.
